    Post:  Band 6 Occupational Therapist; Residential services (5 residential homes)

    Base: Dundee as main base; however travel to other homes is required to support caseload.

    Responsible for: Activity coordinators within each site.

    Responsible to: Band 7 Occupational Therapist

    Hours: 40 hours

    Location: Cross site working – 5 sites

    As an Occupational Therapist, you will provide direct clinical care which will encompass OT assessments, treatment and management of residents within the services.

    In this role you will assess, implement and develop an OT treatment programme according to resident’s diagnosis and identified needs. This will be based upon findings from assessments including associated risks, in order to develop treatment plans accordingly.

    Prioritisation skills are key to manage the caseload of clients effectively and you will work closely with the resident, carers/family and the team onsite.

    The Successful Candidate should be/have:

    • This role is suitable for Band 5 ready to move to a Band 6 role or a Band 6 OT
    • A registered Occupational Therapist with the HCPC (Health Care Professions Council)
    • Experienced in the field of learning disabilities and mental health
    • An understanding of Occupational Therapy process/interventions and can take a “hands on” approach
    • Excellent communication and time management skills
    • Ability to manage highly demanding clinical presentation

    Requirements
