  • A Vacancy has arisen for a Clinical or Forensic Psychologist to practice mainly but not exclusively on Alvaston Ward Female Low Secure Personality Disorder Service.

    The ward emphasises Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT) and Schema Therapy models of psychological intervention and clinical approach.

    The candidate must be committed to their own and staff development and to the mentoring of students of all disciplines and ensuring induction, supervision and appraisal processes occur.

    The successful applicant will be responsible for the delivery, supervision and evaluation of individual and group-based psychological interventions with service users on Alvaston Ward.  

    This is a rare opportunity to be part of a dynamic and highly skilled MDT in a purpose built environment.

    The MDT includes: - Social Work Service, Occupational Therapy Service and a Substance Misuse Practitioner as well as Medical and Nursing Staff.

    This post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975 and as such it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service (formerly known as CRB) to check for any previous criminal convictions.
