Cygnet Health Care, founded in 1988 is one of the UK’s largest independent providers of mental healthcare pathways. Our organisation provides care to a wide range of individuals with psychiatric illnesses and learning disabilities, with services at sites located across England and Wales.

The post of Referrals Administration Assistant/Audio Typist would suit an organised individual who is confident to handle referrals, use the central referral system, understand the referral processes and audio type assessment reports as required. The successful candidate will demonstrate a proactive approach to work, excellent interpersonal skills and an aptitude for working with colleagues to ensure that deadlines are met, and referral conversion rates are at an appropriately high level.

Working in  a fast paced environment, essentially we are looking for an individual who is an experienced administrator with strong administration skills, including audio typing skills and typing speed of 65 wpm and preferable with experience of working in a clinical or medical environment. This role will be working as part of a team, supporting ten nurse assessors in the processing of circa 1,000 referrals/assessments per annum. Your main responsibility is to process referrals and type dictations from audio files within allotted but achievable timeframes and to provide support to the assessment team in terms of administration.

Cygnet Health continues to grow which requires the individuals within the team to be adaptable to change, to be flexible and enthusiastic in their approach and have a good sense of humour. A positive attitude, good work ethic and the ability to be committed is essential. You should have an interest in working for an organisation that provides services for vulnerable individuals and the desire to be a proficient administrator. Areas of expertise must include information governance and confidentiality, an eye for detail, excellent communication and organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise and manage workloads effectively.  Intermediate skills in Word, Publisher and Outlook are highly desirable.
