    In this role your main focus would be to provide safe, sound and supportive care to the people you support. You will have working relationships with the nursing and multi-disciplinary teams, and will play an important role in the lives of the people you support, as well as their families or loved ones. As a key member of the support team, you may be required to contribute to service user multi-disciplinary meetings.

    The support and care you provide will be respectful, dignified and caring, following each individual's person-centred care plan to promote choice and independence.

    • Health and Social Care QCF or SVQ would be beneficial
    •  Experience working with challenging behaviour in an acute inpatient setting is essential

  • Cygnet Hospital Blackheath provides inpatient low secure and PICU services for men with a mental health illness.

    Tyler Ward, our PICU service, provides assesment and treatment for men who are experience an acute period of mental illness. We accept urgent admissions from all over the country and aim to respond to all referrals within one hour of receipt of adequate clinical information.

    All service users have their own en-suite room, furnished to a high standard. They also have access to our full range of facilities, including state of the art therapy rooms, a gym, secure garden and kitchen.

    The hospital is set in a quiet, easily accessible location close to London, just off Blackheath Hill, within easy reach of the major road networks.
