  • We are currently looking to employ a full time Clinical/Forensic/Counselling Psychologist to join our established Therapy Team at Cygnet Hospital Churchill. The successful candidate will join the established Psychology department comprised of a Lead Psychologist, a Clinical Psychologist, Assistant Psychologists and psychology students.

**Pease note this is a full time, fixed term contract for 12 months covering Maternity Leave**

The applicant will be an HCPC registered Clinical/Forensic/Counselling Psychologist with some experience of working in inpatient settings; this post is also suitable for a newly qualified psychologist.

Cygnet Churchill is a 53 bed inpatient mental health hospital for men: three wards including an emergency acute admissions service (Juniper Ward) and two high dependency inpatient rehabilitation services (Maple Court and Mulberry Court). Our goal at Cygnet is to deliver effective and evidenced based interventions that improve mental health and reduce risk.  We offer an integrated care pathway for service users who are able to successfully move on to independent community living. This is further supported by our broad range of therapies which include third-wave CBT interventions for affect regulation, psychosis, substance misuse, as well as offender-related interventions, embedded into a strengths-based therapeutic model.

As a ward psychologist you will apply skills and expertise in clinical and risk assessments, collaboratively develop formulations and care plans and deliver group and individual psychological interventions, and consult to the MDT.

Cygnet Hospital Churchill offers excellent opportunities for training and skills development. We also offer a company benefits package which includes contributory pension scheme, free life insurance, share incentive plan, free meals, childcare vouchers.
