  • We are looking for a passionate, focused and experienced Clinical Manager to join us at our Female Specialist inpatient services at Cygnet Hospital Coventry.  

    Cygnet Hospital Coventry offers specialist inpatient services for women across three wards, with step down facilities also forming part of the care pathway.

    Your Day-to-Day...

    • You will take responsibility for the day to day overview and steer of the clinical service; ensuring delivery of an optimum level of clinical and therapeutic care and consistency in compliance with statutory regulations, quality standards  and KPIs. You would provide the leadership and direction for contemporary initiatives to drive and embed effective clinical practice.

    • To undertake all duties as the Caldicott Guardian, Prevent Lead, Accountable Officer and safeguarding Lead of the Hospital
    • To co-cooperate clinical aspects of the hospital and to ensure a sound co-operation between the clinical departments in the interests of delivering an excellent service to patients.

    • Clinical qualification as a Mental health Nurse or Learning Disabilities Nurse with a valid pin with the NMC 
    • Proven team management capability.
    • Ability to maximise potential within self and others.
    • Team player – though capable of working on own initiative.
    • Clinical knowledge and quality standards to support and develop the services offered.
    • Organisation and planning skills.
    • Excellent interpersonal and effective communication skills at all levels, both verbal and written and including presentation skills - listening, understanding and responding appropriately to identify key facts.

  • Services include a psychiatric intensive care unit (PICU), a highly specialised personality disorder service that also caters for those with dual diagnosis disordered eating, and a high dependency inpatient rehabilitation service.

    In addition the hospital also includes St Mary’s Court, seven studio apartments that offer the opportunity to safely test out independent living skills prior to service users moving back into the community.

    Cygnet Hospital Coventry focuses on ensuring that service users move as quickly as possible to the most appropriate and least restrictive environment whilst avoiding the need for re-admission. Within Cygnet Hospital Coventry there is the option to step down through the pathways available should this be therapeutically beneficial.
