  • At Cygnet Hospital Ealing we are looking for exceptional nurses (RMN or RGN) with extensive specialist experience and / or training in Personality Disorders.


    We are looking for a Clinical Team Leader with a passion for delivering the best quality of care.


    This role will be working 38.5 hours a week on New Dawn – Female Tier 4 Personality Disorder Service

     


    Your Day-to-Day…


    • Supervise the smooth running of a shift and take leadership responsibility for the ward in the absence of the Ward Manager.
    • Act as a role model to all staff in clinical areas, helping to maintain a motivated positive work force.
    • Participate in the manager’s on-call system to provide the first point of contact for ward based staff, outside of normal working hours.
    • Take an active role in clinical audit on the ward and in the hospital.
    • Actively coach and mentor staff to improve practice on the ward.
    • Take a lead role in working with the multi-disciplinary team to coordinate and effective care plans which meet the physical & emotional needs of the service users in a caring and empathic manner.
    • Participate in training and development of staff.
    • Follow and ensure others implement Cygnet Health Care Policy and Procedures and maintain level of service, which meets the standard for the hospital.

     

    You will have…


    • Experience as a Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN) or Registered General Nurse (RGN) with a current Pin Number
    • Supervisory / Team Leader experience
    • Compassion, resilience and excellent interpersonal skills 
    • The ability to maintain documentation and undertake audits
    • A good understanding of the Mental Health Act 1983 & latest nursing practices
    • Able to deputise in a Ward Manager / Clinical Lead role
    • A commitment to patient recovery in order to effectively monitor, manage & reduce risk
    • Dedication to empower & support service user independence

With the national tier 4 personality disorder service also on site, the unit has become renowned for effectively dealing with those with dual diagnosis, where the eating disorder is the presenting problem.


    New Dawn Ward at Cygnet Hospital Ealing is a 9 bed specialist Tier 4 service, providing treatment, care and support for women with a personality disorder who are ready to engage in therapy. New Dawn is one of a small handful of tier 4 personality disorder services, across the entire country, that is nationally specialist commissioned by NHS England.

    Cygnet Hospital Ealing is in a leafy, residential area .The hospital building was once a house and has retained its homely feel, thanks to our welcoming, friendly staff and pleasant surroundings.
