    In this role you would be responsible for the effective use and presentation of the service's facilities, including effective management of maintenance, reception, kitchen and domestic teams.

  • Situated in Hexham, Northumberland, Oaklands is a care home with nursing supporting up to 15 people with learning disabilities and complex needs.

    Oaklands is a large detached property with extensive living areas. This means that people can choose if they want to be in the gender specific lounges, or in mixed company. Everyone at Oaklands has their own bedroom, which they are supported to decorate and personalise. There is a conservatory with access to a spacious and private garden, with seating and picnic areas. There is also a greenhouse and raised flower beds for people to practice their gardening skills. Oaklands boasts a sensory garden, which is accessible for all.

    This post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975 and as such it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service (formerly known as CRB) to check for any previous criminal convictions.
