  • In this role you will:

    • Help Patients to socialise within the clinic, providing a variety of activities, which cater for all tastes
    • Assist patients in accessing activities and identifying needs.
    • Plan and implement five day rolling / individual programmes, as well as encouraging Patients to maintain pre-existing hobbies after discussion with Occupational Therapist
    • To prepare and maintain appropriate materials for activities.
    • Encourage Staff, Relatives and Friends to participate in the Hospital's activities and to arrange Hospital visits as appropriate.
    • Deliver planned activities for patients under the direction of Occupational Therapy department and Multidisciplinary Team.
    • Contribute ideas, create and facilitate events and activities safely and support people to structure their time through meaningful activity


    We are looking for someone who has:

    • Good organisational skills e.g. can manage administration tasks alongside practical tasks to meet required deadlines
    • Has relevant work experience in similar role
    • Experience in an inpatient rehabilitation service preferred

    The successful candidate will be required to undergo an enhanced DBS and reference check and an offer of employment will be subject to successful clearance.


    Location Information

    Set amid the rolling hills of Flintshire, Cygnet Delfryn House is our 28 bed high dependency inpatient rehabilitation service for men who have severe and enduring mental illness and who may have been detained under the Mental Health Act. Men placed with us often come from multiple placement breakdowns, failed treatment programmes or are stepping down from secure settings.
