  • We are looking for an Occupational Therapist (OT) to join our inter-disciplinary team at Cygnet Alders in Gloucester. 

    Cygnet Alders Clinic is a CQC rated 'Good' 20 bed rehabilitation service providing assessment, treatment and rehabilitation for women with personality disorder and complex needs. It is also on the Welsh Hospital Framework with specialist service status.


    Your Day-to-Day...

    • Manage a defined caseload of clients using evidence based/client centred principles to assess, plan, implement and evaluate interventions
    • Work closely with the Occupational Therapy team onsite, Specialist OT and Clinical Lead OT who will assist you in your duties, including therapeutic activity
    • Complete full assessments of patients’ occupational performance including areas of self-care, productivity and leisure whilst utilising standardised and non-standardised tools
    • Implement core group and individual treatments to achieve therapeutic goals
    • Contribute to all aspects of risk assessment and management, within your clinical area
    • Evaluate and modify interventions, utilising appropriate outcome measures


    You will have...

    • A degree / postgraduate diploma (or equivalent) in Occupational Therapy
    • Registration with the HCPC (Health Care Professions Council) and membership of the RCOT (Royal College of Occupational Therapy)
    • Recently completed your Occupational Therapy studies and seeking a Newly Qualified role or currently working as a Band 5 OT
    • Some experience or a passion for working with a female mental health / personality disorder client group
    • An understanding of Occupational Therapy process and interventions in a mental health care inpatient setting
    • The ability to work independently and as part of an inter-disciplinary team

    Requirements

    Contracted hours: 40 per week, Monday to Friday.

    Please note: successful candidates will be required to undergo an enhanced DBS check.
