  • We currently have a fantastic opportunity for a Ward Manager to join our brand new ward here at Cygnet Hospital Godden Green.

    You will be working 38.5 hours per week on our Female PICU Castle Ward, at Cygnet Hospital Godden Green.

    Cygnet Hospital Godden Green provides an acute CAMHS service for young people aged between 12 and 18 years old, offering a later chance to step down through their care pathway. The Hospital includes an on-site Ofsted-registered school, the Knole Development Centre and also provides another specialist mental health service, Adult Female PICU.

    Your Day-to-Day…

    • Have overall management responsibility for the delivery of service user centred care within the ward
    • Lead a team of nursing staff in the delivery of high quality evidence-based practice, ensuring that regular supervision and appraisal take place
    • Coordinate multidisciplinary working, maintaining excellent communication and working relationships with all team members
    • Manage operational resources in a cost-effective manner, and evaluating the standard of service delivered.

    You will have…         

    Essential:

    • Current experience as a Ward or significant senior nursing experience with a valid nursing pin
    • Experience of working in the mental health sector
    • PICU experience.
    • Experience of implementing and monitoring standards of care
    • Experience of providing clinical and managerial supervision, offering support in making clear and consistent clinical decisions along with the ability to lead and motivate a Nursing team effectively
    • Experience of working as part of a multidisciplinary team.

    Desirable:

    • The Ability to deputise in a Clinical Manager role
    • An interest in leadership, research and assessment
