  • We are looking for a Physiotherapist to join the team at Cygnet Hospital Taunton.

    Cygnet Hospital Taunton is a 54 bed CQC rated 'Good' site that provides specialist inpatient services the following; 2 male working age adult acute wards, 1 male older adult acute, 1 female older adult acute and 1 male pre-discharge older adult.

    Your Day-to-Day…

    • Carry out thorough initial assessment for new admissions to the unit
    • Work closely with the inter-disciplinary team comprising of Consultant Psychiatrists, Occupational Therapists, Speech and Language Therapist, Psychologists and a dedicated Nursing and Healthcare Support Team
    • Formulate treatment and management plans using experience and evidenced based practice
    • Provide written reports, attend meetings and offer training and support to other members of the team


    You will have…

    • A degree / post graduate diploma (or equivalent) in Physiotherapy
    • HCPC registration (or equivalent)
    • Experience as a Physiotherapist within a mental health setting
    • Knowledge and understanding of Core Physiotherapy principles and current best practice
    • Ability to work individually and as part of an inter-disciplinary team
    • Experience of working with, and in, challenging and stressful situations

    Requirements

    Contracted hours: 3 days per week between Monday to Friday.

    Please note: successful candidates will be required to undergo an enhanced DBS check.
