    We are looking for a passionate, focused and experienced Service Manager to join us at Cygnet Beckton to work on our Personality Ward, Monday to Friday.

    The Opportunity...

    Reporting directly to the Clinical Manager, our Service Managers are responsible for providing strong and effective leadership to the onsite team in order to ensure the integrity of all functions at the site, to include; Clinical, Finance, HR, Recruitment and Support Services. You will be responsible for the overall operational and clinical management of the Personality Disorder service.

    The post holder would monitor and ensure compliant with CQC / regulatory requirements and to ensure all clinical, budgetary, regulatory and service development targets are met. You will also implement risk assessment, risk management and embed clinical governance within the service. You will also take a lead role to ensure there is effective communication onsite.

    To be responsible for the provision of a high-quality service, both in respect of client care and employee engagement.

    Ensure effective bed management and coordination of referrals and assessments of clients.

    In this role, you will participate in audit requirements and ensure all group policies and procedures are adhered to and where required lead on investigations. Reviewing and developing potential opportunities for improved quality and commercial growth is also a key requirement.

    You will have…

    • Robust Managerial experience in Mental Health and of leading a team through change.
    • The ability to build an effective team; lead by example, manage performance effectively and use own initiative
    • Experience of working to CQC guidelines, relevant legislation and professional regulations
    • Experience undertaking investigations and/or the ability to manage complaints appropriately and in a confidential manner
    • Qualifications in Leadership & Management

  • Cygnet Hospital Beckton is a smoke free gender specific hospital for women with complex mental health needs. We accept emergency and planned, pre-assessed admissions. We provide a multi-disciplinary approach, to help service users return home as quickly as possible.

    Situated in the East End of London, the hospital has four different specialist wards including mental health with learning disability, personality disorder, PICU and low secure.
