    Cygnet Hospital Taunton provides specialist inpatient services for working age and older adults with mental health problems and for men diagnosed with a learning disability.

    Reporting directly to the General Manager, our Estates Manager will be responsible for the operation and maintenance of all engineering and building maintenance services at Cygnet Hospital Taunton.

    In this Estates Manager role you will:

    Be responsible for the implementation of working practises to ensure safe/efficient operation and maintenance of the hospital and services by the use of professional engineers, technicians and trade staff.


    Oversee the safe operation at all times of both critical and non-critical engineering building services.


    Act as the main contact responsible for interaction with departments and carefully planning any shut downs or interruption in-service with user groups.


    Demonstrate the ability to make complex decisions as you will be required to evaluate options throughout the maintenance process.

    Have previous management experience in a healthcare or service industry setting

    Can establish credibility with multiple stakeholders

    Posses strong leadership skills

    Are proficient in Microsoft Office

    Have the ability to build consensus and achieve goals through collaboration.
