  • Cygnet Health Care was established in 1988. Since then we have developed a wide range of services for individuals with mental health needs and learning disabilities within the UK. We have built a reputation for delivering pioneering services and outstanding outcomes for the people in our care.

    Cygnet Lodge Salford is a new 25 bed high dependency inpatient rehabilitation hospital for women.  The service supports individuals with a primary diagnosis of mental health, but they may also have a complex secondary diagnosis, including a personality disorder.

    Main Purpose

    Provide leadership and direction for operations and to maximise the business performance of the hospital.

    Be a role model for staff to ensure that they embrace and uphold the values and philosophy of the Cygnet Hospitals.  Manage the site within agreed standards, budgets, targets, timetables and constraints in accordance with operational and strategic objectives.  Ensure that structure and processes which ensure sound governance and compliance are embedded and effective across the Hospital.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Ensure the hospital is constituted in line and operates in accordance with corporate governance requirements and guidance.
    • Develop and direct programmes which measure and drive quality improvement of clinical safety and clinical effectiveness.  This will be managed by audit and by ‘go and see visits’.

    • Health and Social Care QCF or SVQ would be beneficial
    • Previous experience would be beneficial, but not essential

    All successful applicants will be required to become a member of the Protecting Vulnerable Groups Scheme (PVG) in respect of regulated work with protected adults and regulated work with children. A PVG certificate contains all unspent and certain spent conviction information. It also contains any other non-conviction information that the police or other

    government bodies think is relevant. Disclosure Scotland continually monitor PVG scheme members' records for vetting information including criminal convictions that may affect their suitability to work with vulnerable groups.
