  • We are looking for a professional, ambitious & experienced Mental Health Nurse to join our dedicated team as the head of care at our outstanding specialist high dependency inpatient rehabilitation service for men in Mansfield, Nottingham.

    Your Day-to-Day:

    Oversee the effective admission/discharge of Patients. Ensure all social and health needs are assessed and risks evaluated. Be responsible for the implementation of risk assessments. Take responsibility for Patient / staff meetings, including CPAs; Handovers; Tribunals and Ward rounds.

    You are:

    Open, compassionate, honest & resilient, experienced Mental Health Nurse with current pin number. Currently operating as a Head of Care / Ward manager or significant experience in a Senior Nursing role. Have evidence of functioning in a supervisory role as a clinician in a similar setting within a multi-disciplinary team. Able capable of maintaining documentation and undertaking audits. Well informed of the Mental Health Act & have an understanding of latest nursing practices. Focused on patient recovery to monitor, manage & reduce risk. Able to help empower & support service user independence.

    Our 30 bed specialist high dependency inpatient rehabilitation service for men dedicated to providing a high quality environment for promoting long-term recovery.

    We believe that our programme of individual care and attention for our service users will contribute to their well-being and comfort, so that they will be able to go on to live in the wider community with appropriate support, guidance and assistance.

    Dedicated clinical teams provide a multi-disciplinary input including occupational therapy, psychology, psychiatry and vocational training.

    Service users are encouraged to exercise their right to be involved in planning their care. They are also encouraged to get involved in the social activities of the hospital and to pursue their own interests where this is appropriate within the hospital environment.

    Sherwood House is rated ‘Outstanding’ by the CQC.
