    Cygnet Hospital Bury are focused on individual outcomes and informed by a multidisciplinary approach, we’re home to specialist units for ongoing and intensive care.

    Alongside full educational provision for young people experiencing mental health problems, we provide a unique, bi-lingual, secure environment for deaf men and women and a locked rehabilitation unit that ensures a secure provision on the pathway to reintegration into the community.

    We are looking for an experienced Driver to join our team on a part time, 2 day week.


    Your day to day:

    • Fully adhere to the Cygnet Driving at Work Policy - drive safely and professionally to both local and national locations
    • Check the safe operation of vehicles prior to use and monitor own hours, ensuring regular breaks are taken & recorded on counter-signed timesheets
    • Maintain current & accurate records of hospital vehicles and ensure they (and any hired vehicles) are maintained & kept clean with sufficient fuel to cover out of         hours driving
    • Produce reports (e.g. mileage etc) as requested by Cygnet/Fleet Management and report any accidents, incidents or damage to vehicles as per company policy within the required timescales
    • In conjunction with the Estates Administrator, ensure that vehicle repairs are carried out in a timely and satisfactory manner

    You are:

    • In possession of a full valid UK driving license (this will be checked every 6 months as per company policy)
    • At least 21 years old & been driving for at least 12 months
    • Hardworking, smartly dressed & flexible to cover earlier or late shifts as needed
    • Aware of what effective teamwork is
    • Reliable & punctual
    • Able to stay calm & composed when experiencing difficult behaviour

  • Cygnet Hospital Bury provides a wide range of inpatient mental health services for men and women including specialist deaf services and CAMHS provision for adolescents.

    Security levels range between medium secure to rehabilitation services.

    Each service user has a bedroom with en suite facilities and a range of communal spaces including a gym, laundry, occupational therapy kitchen, therapy garden and woodland walkways down to the Elton Reservoir.

     

    This post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975 and as such it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service (formerly known as CRB) to check for any previous criminal convictions.
