  • Cygnet Hospital Colchester, formerly known as Fairview Hospital, is a 57 bed service providing a range of intensive support and rehabilitation services for men with learning disabilities, autism spectrum disorders or mental health needs, and women with a diagnosis of personality disorder and complex mental health needs.

    We currently have a unique opportunity for the right individual to join the team on-site within our hospital as a Payroll and Accounts Administrator.

     

    In this role you’ll;

    • Assist the Senior Accounts Administrator and Accounts Manager in the collection and collation of important information that needs to be submitted to the Finance Department as and when required. 
    • Daily checking of the E-Systems and ensuring that all areas in need of authorisation have been picked up.
    • Oversee the handling of patient monies in accordance with STE policy and maintain accurate records
    • Ensuring all new admissions have the necessary funding from the outset
    • Provide when possible and if required the training of all clinical staff on the completion of the E-Systems and provide an insight into the financial implications of the document.
    • To keep patient money records in accordance with policy on handling of patient money.
    • Assist the Clinical Manager and Hospital Manager in any task deemed necessary for the smooth running of the Finance Department.
    • Comply with Cygnet Healthcare Policy and Procedure including Financial Strategy, Policy and Procedure to maintain a level of service which meets Cygnet Standards

    Hours:

    Monday - Friday 40 Hours p/w

     

    The successful candidate will be required to undergo an enhanced DBS and reference check and an offer of employment will be subject to successful clearance.?

    Our services are recovery-focused, with the aim of preparing individuals for a move to rehabilitation or step-down services, and ultimately, back into the community wherever possible.

     

    This post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975 and as such it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service (formerly known as CRB) to check for any previous criminal convictions.
