    At Cygnet Hospital Bury we are focused on individual outcomes and informed by a multidisciplinary approach, we’re home to specialist units for ongoing and intensive care. Alongside full educational provision for young people experiencing mental health problems, we provide a unique, bi-lingual, secure environment for deaf men and women and a locked rehabilitation unit that ensures a secure provision on the pathway to reintegration into the community.

     

    We require an experienced CAMHS nurse to care and support young people aged between 12 and 18.

     

    You’ll be confident in assessing a variety of acute and complex mental health issues as well as planning and implementing treatment. You’ll be familiar with multi-agency working and have a clear understanding of the importance of family involvement. We are looking for a highly skilled communicator who can relate to children and involves them in all aspects of their care. You’ll have worked in a least-restrictive environment.

     

    We support young people with a range of mental health issues including:

    Psychosis
    Self-harm and /or suicidal
    Depression or anxiety
    Emerging personality disorder
    Eating disorder
    Substance misuse (requires primary diagnosis of a mental health problem)
    Emotional / social and behavioural difficulties
    Borderline / mild learning disability as a secondary diagnosis
    Austism Spectrum Disorders

  • Cygnet Hospital Bury provides a wide range of inpatient mental health services for men and women including specialist deaf services and CAMHS provision for adolescents.

    Security levels range between medium secure to rehabilitation services.

    Each service user has a bedroom with en suite facilities and a range of communal spaces including a gym, laundry, occupational therapy kitchen, therapy garden and woodland walkways down to the Elton Reservoir.

     

    This post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975 and as such it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service (formerly known as CRB) to check for any previous criminal convictions.
