    Cygnet Hospital Clifton in Nottingham is a 24 bed specialist low secure service for men with a personality disorder, who also present with complex mental health needs and challenging behaviours.

    We are currently recruiting for a Therapy Coordinator to devise and implement activities appropriate to patients’ needs and requests and to assist in developing the
    process and practices and delivery of Active Care and Recovery.

     

    In this role you’ll:

    • Promote and ensure the good reputation of the Hospital. To maintain and demonstrate a positive attitude toward patients, their families, staff, visitors and others
    • Help Patients to socialise within the Hospital, providing a variety of activities, which cater for all tastes. Assist patients in accessing activities and identifying needs.
    • Plan and implement five day rolling / individual programmes, as well as encouraging Patients to maintain pre-existing hobbies after discussion with Occupational Therapist.
    • Maintain full and accurate records of daily therapies / activities using the relevant documents.
    • Encourage Staff, Relatives and Friends to participate in the Hospital's activities and to arrange Hospital visits as appropriate.
    • Assist with fund raising and budgeting for entertainments, materials and outings


    We're looking for people who have:

    • Previous experience in working within a care environment
    • Proven ability to develop and organise a range of activities for Patients
    • Excellent communication skills and the ability to be a good team player
    • The sensitivity and energy required to provide a trusting, stimulating and varied lifestyle for the residents
    • Knowledge of Mental Health Issues
    • Ability to undertake the shift patterns

    Hours

    42 hours a week, 12 hours shifts on a rota basis
