    We are looking for a confident and committed Hospital Manager to provide management and leadership across two Cygnet sites in South East London, Cygnet Hospital Blackheath and Cygnet Lodge Lewisham.

    Cygnet Hospital Blackheath is a 30 bed, specialist service for men with a mental health illness, providing an inpatient low secure service and PICU service. Cygnet Lodge Lewisham, based just 2 miles away, is a “step down” high dependency inpatient rehabilitation service providing care for up to 17 men. This is a unique opportunity to lead a dynamic and creative multi-disciplinary team, and we are looking for an innovative Hospital Manager to ensure the delivery of the best quality care and who will lead staff by example

    In this role you will provide effective leadership to the service and will be a role model to your staff team. Your main focus would be to ensure the team provides safe, sound and supportive care to the people they support.

    Working with the multi-disciplinary teams, family members, local authorities and regulatory bodies, you will have overall responsibility and accountability for the delivery of a high-quality service and promoting a positive culture.

    As an ambassador for your service, you will provide leadership and management to the staff team, ensuring each individual plays their part in promoting choice and independence for the people they support. Ultimately you will meet targets set out in our Quality Strategy, which will ensure your service is providing the best quality support and care possible.

    So what qualifications and attributes do you need?

    • We would welcome applicants who are proven leaders and have worked with varied stakeholders in the delivery of outstanding care
    • Experience working within inpatient mental health, ideally PICU, low secure or rehabilitation
    • Qualified Nurse (RNLD or RMN)
    • Previous management experience is essential

  • Cygnet Hospital Blackheath provides inpatient low secure and PICU services for men with a mental health illness.

    All service users have their own en-suite room, furnished to a high standard. They also have access to our full range of facilities, including state of the art therapy rooms, a gym, secure garden and kitchen.

    The hospital is set in a quiet, easily accessible location close to London, just off Blackheath Hill, within easy reach of the major road networks.

    Cygnet Lodge Lewisham is a high dependency inpatient rehabilitation service providing care for up to 17 men. Our service provides a high level of support and uses a recovery focused model. The service is ideal for anyone who has been on a longer-stay hospital or acute ward for a period of time and would benefit from a service which helps them prepare for a successful return to the community.

    Cygnet Lodge Lewisham is part of our integrated male care pathway of services that includes the low secure and psychiatric intensive care unit at our sister unit Cygnet Hospital Blackheath.
