  • We are currently looking to recruit experienced support workers, with mental health / learning disabilities experience.

    Day to Day...

    You’ll be working 42 hours per week. Boden is a supported living service. We support adults who have learning disabilities and autism, and who may have behaviour that challenge. 

    • Support both management and team members in the day-to-day running of the service
    • Ensure duties are allocated effectively and safely
    • Offer enhanced care with a flexible learning approach for all the people in our care
    • Provide guidance & encouragement through physical & emotional support
    • Learn about individuals’ specific needs & provide help in the most appropriate way
    • Assist with medical & welfare needs and report as required
    • Safeguard
    • Maintain a safe & clean environment for all​
    • You will help to recruit and build your own staff team for the service. 
    • Support members of your staff team and motivate them to ensure that person-centred care is being delivered.
    • On call duties will be required as part of your role

    (Hours are to meet the needs of the business. This could include a shift pattern of 12 hours days, 12 hours waking nights or 24 hour shifts including a sleep in as part of a rota basis)

     

    You Have...

    • Experience working within a mental health / learning disability environment at a senior support worker level or above .
    • Minimum of 1 years’ experience in a mental health/ learning disability setting,ideally you will have worked with challenging behaviours also.
    • Understanding of the legislation and quality standards within the environment.
    • Confidence in management of staff and the conflicts they can present with.
    • Completed level 2 or above within Health & Social Care
    • flexibility and willingness to cover the needs of the business during lowing staffing periods
    • A full driving licence and access to a reliable vehicle
