    Post: Therapy Coordinator

    Base: Compton Ward, Nield House

    Responsible to: Head OT

    Hours: 46.25 hours per week

    Salary: £8.75 per hour (increasing to £8.95 after successful probation)

    Location: Crewe, CW1 4QW

    We are looking for a Therapy Coordinator for our 15 bed acute ward Compton.

    Overview of site/Ward:

    Cygnet Nield House in Crewe is our new 30-bed mental health hospital for women. This service will provide a robust person centred programme of care for women presenting with high risk needs and who may demonstrate difficulties with engagement or motivation with therapeutic programmes.

     

    In this role you’ll:

    Deliver planned activities for patients under the direction of Occupational Therapy department and Multidisciplinary Team.
    Contribute ideas, create and facilitate events and activities safely and support people to structure their time through meaningful activity
    Have involvement in the delivery of one to one and group interventions
    Implement individual care plans during activity sessions and take into account specific interests and opportunities to promote choice and independence


    We're looking for people who have:

    • A good understanding of mental health diagnosis
    • Knowledge of recovery approaches and social inclusion is desirable
    • Experience of supporting service users with mental illness
    • Effective communication skills, good organisations skills and a positive attitude

    Requirements
    The successful candidate will be required to undergo an enhanced DBS and reference check and an offer of employment will be subject to successful clearance.
