    We are currently recruiting for a Team Leader with strong leadership skills to support the Registered Manager to maintain a stable, happy and caring environment for our residents and provide effective management of staff.

    Gledholt is an enhanced community residential service providing outcome focused care for adults with learning disabilities, who may have behaviours that challenge and associated complex needs.

    Your Day-to-Day…

    Be responsible for the effective management of care staff which involves motivating, coaching, managing performance via supervision/appraisal and appraising the quality of care provided to the residents

    Ensure that all staff for whom you are responsible are putting policy into practice and are either performing to expected standards or, that you are/have been actively addressing the issues effectively.

    Ensure that communication between senior management, other sources and your team, in all directions, is as effective as possible.

    Be responsible for the deployment of staff, effective rostering and covering shortfalls across the house.

    Be responsible for ensuring that each residents’ specific needs are met and maintaining records.

    Manage delegated resources efficiently and co-ordinate staff contributions to the ongoing maintenance and improvement of the establishment through the Development Plan.

     

    We're looking for people who have: 

    • Excellent communication and leadership skills and the ability to be a good team player
    • Awareness of local safeguarding procedures and the Mental Capacity Act.
    • Sensitive and intuitive with the energy required to provide a trusting, stimulating & varied environment
    • Awareness of each individual’s development and progression
    • Helping to empower & support service user independence.
    • Flexible to work 12 hour shift patterns on a rota basis including weekends
    • NVQ level 3 or equivalent in a relevant care setting is preferable
