We are looking for confident Bank Catering Assistants with a passion for delivering outstanding care.
You’ll be working Bank/Casual hours, making a positive difference to the lives of the people in our care at Cygnet Bury.
Cygnet Hospital Bury provides a wide range of inpatient mental health services for men and women including specialist deaf services and CAMHS provision for adolescents.
In this role you’ll:
- Be prepared to work across all three kitchens on a rota basis and as per management instructions to provide cover as required.
- Prepare a variety of cold food options - as per the menu and other ad-hoc requests.
- Assist the Chefs with the preparation and presentation of hot food options as instructed.
- Deliver food and beverages to the wards and other departments within the hospital.
- Ensure that all food items are stored and prepared in line with Company food safety standards.
- Ensure that floors, work surfaces, kitchen equipment and utensils are kept clean and tidy at all times.
- Report any problems with equipment, food preparation & storage or health & safety in a timely manner, escalating concerns as necessary.
- Deal with issues raised by service users or staff in a timely, helpful and pro-active manner, escalating issues as appropriate.
- Participate in special functions as required, e.g. Summer BBQ, Winter Fayre.
- Complete all mandatory training in a timely manner and undergo any further appropriate training to meet the required standards of the job and any changes in processes or procedures.
We're looking for people who are:
- Previous catering experience
- A basic food hygiene certificate
- A polite and professional attitude to internal and external quests at all times
