  • Cygnet Hospital Beckton is a service for women with complex mental health needs. Situated in the East End of London, the hospital has four different specialist wards including mental health with learning disability, personality disorder, PICU and low secure.

    We are seeking to employ a full time experienced Housekeepers to work across a 7 day rota, 7.5hrs per day.  Reporting to the Housekeeping Supervisor, you will ensure all housekeeping services are maintained to a high standard in our private Mental Health 61-bedded hospital in Beckton.  The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of providing friendly, effective cleaning service with a positive attitude.

    The main duties and responsibilities of the role include: cleaning clinical & non-clinical areas, making and changing bed linen.   Due to the nature of our client group it is essential the post holder is fluent in the English Language both verbal and written for effective communication with service users /staff as the expectation is for the post holder to be able to read and write in English as you will be required to complete cleaning schedule paperwork on a daily basis. You will be working predominately within clinical areas, so the ability to work in a challenging environment without compromising the quality of the work produced is essential.



    Basic hourly rate: £8.80ph, Weekends £10.56ph & Bank Holidays £13.20ph

    Earliest start time 6am.
