  • We have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced band 5 SLT to expand their skills by independently managing a caseload and progress into a Band 6 post.  This is a highly sought-after post due to working with individuals with mental health needs in both inpatient and residential services so we advise early application to avoid disappointment.

    Here’s a bit more about the locations…

Cygnet Woodside, 279 Beacon Road, Wibsey, Bradford BD6 3DQ

We provide a safe, therapeutic hospital service for 9 males with learning disabilities, who have experienced a recent acute mental health episode in the community resulting in hospital admission for a period of stabilisation.  Individuals present with behaviours that challenge and associated complex needs. Located in the suburb of Wibsey in Bradford, the hospital is within close proximity to local services and amenities, including major transport links. A service will be provided 3 days per week alongside a part time clinical team who also support the Gledholt Services.

Gledholt Services, 32 and 34 Greenhead Road, Huddersfield, West Yorkshire, HD1 4EZ

Two days per week will provide onsite support to:

Gledholt, a nine-bedded enhanced community residential home providing outcome-focused care for adults with learning disabilities, who may have behaviours that challenge and associated complex needs.
Gledholt Mews and Coach House, our new service for adults with mental health needs or a personality disorder who have been able to progress through the hospital pathway and are looking at the next stage in their rehabilitation journey.

On-going assessment and high staffing levels means that we are able to meet the changing needs of service users as they progress through their care pathway, while ensuring their safety is maintained and their independence supported.  Regular review meetings involving the service user, their family and professionals are held to review outcomes, set new goals and re-assess support levels as people progress.
