  • We are looking for a Head of Care (RMN/RNLD) with a passion for delivering outstanding care.

    You’ll be working 40 hours per week (Monday to Friday, 9:00am-5:00pm – but flexibility is required) at Cygnet Gledholt Mews & Coach House.

    Gledholt Mews and Coach House is our new service, opening in October 2020, for adults with mental health needs or a personality disorder who have been able to progress through the hospital pathway and are looking for the next stage in their rehabilitation journey. This service has been designed around individuals from Kirklees in partnership with Kirklees CCG with the aim is to help these individuals along their path towards independent living.

    Your Day-to-Day...

    • Oversee/maintain the Care of all clients within the Hospital and, in the absence of the Hospital Manager/Director, take responsibility for the day to day running of the Hospital
    • Provide leadership, direction and supervision to all clinical and support staff
    • Provide effective communication to both the care team and Multi-Disciplinary Team, acting as a positive role model at all times
    • Contribute to the hospital achieving a high level of staff moral and in developing the service.
    • Responsible for implementing and evaluating agreed systems of clinical and operational support, aimed at the continual professional development of the Nursing Team and delivery of a high level of care to our Clients

    You…..

    An experienced RMN/RNLD with a current Pin Number, you’ll have…

    Essential:

    • An excellent understanding of the Mental Health Act 1983 and latest nursing practices
    • Currently operating as a Head of Care / Ward manager or significant experience in a Senior Nursing role
    • Excellent relationship management with internal and external stakeholders (i.e. CCGs and CQC)
    • Have experience in Acute, Rehabilitation, Mental Health or Forensic Psychiatry
    • Have evidence of functioning in a supervisory role as a clinician in a similar setting within a multi-disciplinary team
    • A commitment to patient recovery in order to effectively monitor, manage and reduce risk
    • Compassion, resilience and a dedication to empower and support service user independence

    Desirable:

    • An interest in leadership, research and assessment
    • Knowledge on behavioural interventions
