    Cygnet Hospital Wyke provides a comprehensive pathway of acute admissions services for men. Our team works closely and collaboratively with service users, their families and the referrer to provide a seamless pathway from referral to discharge.

    We are seeking a Health Care Support Worker to join us at Cygnet Wyke. Cygnet Wyke is a locked-door service that support patients with different Mental Health conditions and Challenging Behaviours. As an active member of our dynamic MDT, you'll provide support for our nursing staff including the admission, assessment, implementation and discharge of inpatients, with a focus on dignity and safety at all times. You'll bring with you a sound level of literacy and numeracy skills and preferably an NVQ level 2/3 in a relevant care setting. With some experience working in a secure a psychiatry service you'll have a good level of physical fitness and a strong, flexible mental aptitude in order to meet the demands of the role. Demonstrating the abilities, experience and skills needed to deal effectively with challenging situations, you have an active interest in developing your knowledge and skills.

    Our integrated regional care pathways in West Yorkshire allow transition to and from our sister services at Cygnet Hospital Bierley (female PICU and personality disorder services) and Cygnet Lodge Brighouse (male mental health rehabilitation).

    The hospital sits in more than three acres of grounds, which are quiet and private. The environment at Cygnet Hospital Wyke is purpose built and is close to the M62 (J26), being placed on the border of Bradford and Calderdale.
