    Cygnet Hospital Bury provides a wide range of inpatient mental health services for men and women including specialist deaf services and CAMHS provision for adolescents.

    The post holder will be responsible for coordinating the audit programme at Cygnet Bury. This involves carrying out audits, assisting others in their audit duties, and ensuring the timely submission of all corporate audits on a monthly and quarterly basis.

    Clinical:

    The post holder will be expected to:

    • Carry out audits using a variety of methods
    • Manually input data into appropriate spreadsheets or databases as appropriate
    • Assist others in carrying out audits and action plans
    • Send regular reminders to other auditors to ensure submission
    • Write audit reports and summaries
    • Maintain and develop audit tools in line with current guidelines, policies, and  areas of concern
    • Update the audit league table
    • Write reports and summaries for meetings 
    • Ensure all audits are submitted within deadlines, including the submission of corporate audits
    • Keep the audit calendar current and relevant
    • Work on several audit projects simultaneously
    • Maintain compliance with all company policies and procedures
    • Contribute to, and assist in the coordination of CPR drills
    • Complete audits outside of the audit calendar, where needed
    • Offer ward support during incidents and crises, where appropriate
    • Offer ward support in terms of requests for documentation, advice, and extra BLS support
    • Present information and data for team projects, presentations, and meetings
    • Respond to requests for data, audits, and technical assistance
    • Develop tools for use on the wards, e.g. Observation sheets, checklists for files
    • Ensure upkeep of the Bury – templates folder on the network drive
    • Provide guidance for staff completing new audits and tasks

     

    Managerial / Leadership:

    The post holder will be expected to:

     

    • Contribute to the Integrated Governance Process.
    • Develop audits which ensure essential standards are adhered to and where necessary develop action plans to maintain good standards.
    • Contribute to development and review of local protocols
    • Assist in collating restrictive intervention data for the Hospital Level Integrated Governance meetings
