  • We are looking for a CAMHS Ward Manager (RMN/RNLD) with a passion for delivering the best quality of care.

    You will be working 40 hours per week at Cygnet Bury


    Cygnet Hospital Bury offers CAMHS Tier 4 PICU, General Acute and Low Secure services across four wards which provide a defined treatment pathway from admission through to intervention and discharge including rapid assessment and treatment.

    Mulberry Ward is a 12 bed low secure ward for females. The service can support girls aged between 12 and 18.

    Your Day-to-Day…

    • To be visible on the ward as the Ward Manger. 
    • To provide support to the Clinical Services Manager in the delivery of safe, effective care and treatment and the day to day management of clinical/professional issues in designated clinical areas.
    • Provide leadership, direction, support and supervision for the nursing team to achieve compliance with both professional and regulatory standards in accordance with any operational and strategic objectives.  
    • Be accountable for delivering weekly reports, audit, staffing resources, developing skills, ensuring systems are in place for staff and patients / young people.

    You will be…

    • Committed to delivering service improvement strategies across all aspects of clinical service provision
    • Have experience of working in an inpatient setting preferably acute or forensic settings although all inpatient experience would be considered
    • Have evidence of managing change; leadership initiatives and experience of motivating and developing others will be important attributes for any successful candidates
    • Open, compassionate, honest & resilient
    • Capable of undertaking audits and developing effective action plans, being able to follow this up to ensure all actions are completed
    • Well informed of the Mental Health Act 1983 & have an understanding of latest nursing practices
    • Focused on patient recovery to monitor, manage & reduce risk
