    Post: Occupational Therapist

    Base: Cygnet Hospital Beckton

    Responsible for: The post holder will contribute towards the delivery of the Occupational Therapy service The individual will carry a caseload at Beckton – a recovery and rehabilitation unit for women with complex needs, hold responsibility for specific projects and contribute to clinical governance and the quality agenda activities for Cygnet Hospital Beckton

    Responsible to: The Head of Occupational Therapy at Beckton

    Hours: 37.5 hours per week (fixed term for 18months)

    Location: 23 Tunnan Leys, London E6 6ZB

    Overview of site/Ward: Hansa Ward is a 13 bed female locked learning disability service at Cygnet Hospital Beckton

    Our focus is on recovery through meaningful activities and engagement in local community initiatives. Our aim is to support service users to live as independently as possible.

    As an Occupational Therapist, you will provide direct clinical care which will encompass OT assessments, treatment and management of patients within the service.

    In this role you will assess, implement and develop an OT treatment programme according to service user’s diagnosis and identified needs. This will be based upon findings from assessments including associated risks, in order to develop treatment plans accordingly.

    The Successful Candidate should be/have:

    • A degree / postgraduate diploma (or equivalent) in Occupational Therapy
    • Registration with Health Care Professions Council (HCPC)
    • Demonstrate a willingness to learn

    Requirements
